4K input downsampling - something the panel in the S2721DGF should be capable of, but Dell doesn't support and will not be upgrading the firmware to do so, so you can't plug in an Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, or Google Chromecast for instance and get 4K output.somewhat better contrast - LG's Nano IPS panels are often around the 850:1 or 900:1 where a typical IPS is around 1000:1 and some newer panels on competing products can hit up to 1200:1 (a long way short of VA but still impressive for IPS).There's a few things newer monitors in this category do better, but you're often paying a bit more than $400 to get those features, and often not getting them all at once.
I see this kind of monitor as the best "bang for buck" for PC gaming right now (current-gen consoles are a different story).
The review units were cherry picked. It's still a 27" 1440p Nano IPS panel at 165 Hz, if that appeals to you. Ich konnte die Tage mit einem Freund folgendes an seinem G7 Monitor und der xbox series x einstellen (der G7 hatte das aktuelle Firmware update - ich glaube Dezember 2020: 1440 Aufloesung mit 120hz, plus HDR und plus 'Allow 4K' an der xbox. If you want a good colour screen for a gaming monitor this on is not it.
You can download a couple profile but this monitor has such a stupid wide range of what kind of quality panel it will have you really just need to use a colour calibrator and hop the panel is semi decent. The g7 is known for being a total gamble if you get a good panel or not with good backlighting. But I wanted to know if anyone could share their calibrated ICC/color profile which I could try on my monitor to see it that is better than the factory calibration. I know that color profiles are different for every panel and also depend on room lighting etc. I thought of buying a monitor calibrator, but those are just too expensive, and I won't have many uses for it after a few times. I tried tweaking the colors in Nvidia control panel and the monitor itself, but I can't find the sweet spot. I own a Samsung G7 32" and I just moved from a 100% RGB display to this one, and I don't really like the calibration and color profile for this monitor.
